Hinterland is proud to spotlight the work of producers, artisans and craftspeople who work in complete unison with the land.

City life leaves many of us disconnected from the land and the seasons but at Hinterland we invite you to step out of the city hustle into a refuge where you can (re)connect to the bounty of produce and beauty found in the Berlin-Brandenburg region.

Food

Local producers and small Berlin food businesses we’re currently proud to work with include: Hof Stolze Kuh, Ilse Hans, Fischerei Stechlinsee, farmer Peter Janoth, Motel Brewery, Alte Milch, Domberger Brot-Werk, Bekarei, and many more.

Design

Setting foot in Hinterland is designed to feel like you’re stepping into a traditional German Landhaus, a space fully connected to the land and the seasons. In collaboration with Berlin-based designers and craft workers, some of whom working with traditional techniques, are weaved into the fabric of the space alongside many items sourced from country homes throughout Germany.

Other purveyors we are proud to work alongside include: Ennio Nobili, GUSSWERK, Sophienwald and Antik 70.

All Hinterland branding and design work was done by Leda Li Pira and Hinterland’s photography was taken by Jaclyn Locke Photography.
